Maria still had a hard time wrapping her brain around the fact that she had appeared her and it wasn't an outright kidnapping of some sort. She felt increasingly tense as she waited for Romanoff to arrive to pick her up. She was leaning against a street sign, waiting for the red head to arrive. It was sad to her how much she had been relieved to find out that there had been others here that she knew. She was supposed to be strong. She was a fighter. She shouldn't need comfort like that, but she did just the same.
She was still wearing her SHIELD uniform, and she hoped that Romanoff had something that she could change into. They weren't exactly the same size or anything, but as long as it was made to be lose, she could make it work. She slid down the street sign and sat on the ground, trying to make herself relax, even though she was listening to every sound that occurred around her.
They had all been due for a vacation. Maria wasn't even sure what she would do with a real vacation, but even if she just spent a week staying in her apartment, sleeping and watching television, it would have been something. From what little Romanoff had told her, she had the distinct feeling that this place would be no vacation.
