At least Elphaba was letting her cope in her own time. Trying to put too much information on Marguerite at the moment would be detrimental. Because really, people could only handle so much stress at a time before they cracked. And Marguerite was already broken and trying to pull herself together. It was hard but necessary. She would move on. Somehow, because Percy wouldn't want her to waste away and she wasn't one of those women who needed a man to survive, even if her heart continued to break at the thought of living life without him. At least in France, she would have joined him in death.
As it were, Marguerite didn't know of what had been happening in this time and place and truthfully, might have gone out to get herself killed without thinking it through. But she was a good reader of people, given she used to be paid to give men what they wanted. Still she said nothing on it as she didn't know the other woman well enough to press and she was still trying to come to terms with her own situation at present. That was allowed, right?
"The longer we are here... which means that there is no way back.."
Well, there was a reason Marguerite was known as not only the greatest actress in Europe but also the cleverest woman. She was quick on the uptake so she could see what was said in the air. Unless it was Percy, for he had fooled her completely by breaking her heart and leaving her in confusion. But that she had been too close to. When she had realized it, it had been so obvious.
"Oz?"
Because, well, while many people at least of this world would know what that meant, different country or no, Marguerite was from long before The Wizard of Oz was written and so she had no idea on what it was.
