Elphaba knew to be careful because not everyone took well to suddenly finding themselves in another time and place. She'd lucked out with Bruce having all ready been familiar with time travel and teleportation being possibilities. But would this woman take well to this? If the woman's clothing was anything to go on, Elphaba would guess she didn't know anything of time travel. But looks could be deceiving, so Elphaba would broach the subject as easily as she could. If she'd learned one thing in the time she'd been in Lawrence, it was tact. Sort of. Yes she still had the ability to blurt out whatever was on her mind at any given time, but she had at least begun to try not to do that. Such things tended to end badly for her and those around her.
At the woman's response of being lost, Elphaba was now trying to decide just how to break the news to her of what was happening and where she was. All right. Gently. Elphaba could do this gently. ...right?
"You are in the city of Lawrence, in the state of Kansas in the United States of America." Despite picking up on the woman's accent, Elphaba hoped that one of those places would register as being even remotely familiar. Otherwise explaining Earth would be a little difficult. So Elphaba was just hoping this woman was from this planet at least. Just because someone appeared to be completely human didn't mean they necessarily were human.
"My name is Elphaba Thropp," she introduced herself, giving the woman a friendly smile. Yes a smile, because that was something that came far more naturally to her now. She fully blamed Elena and Galinda for that. And Bonnie and Caroline when they'd been here. Hopefully the introduction would ease the other woman a little. At the very least she wouldn't be sitting there wonderful who the Hell Elphaba was.
