Practical was sometimes the best way to be. It could save a life. Or many. Belle wasn't used to life and death situations. She was sheltered from that. And she hid behind her books. But in the end, she could still see that being practical could save lives when everything was going crazy. Because if one was irrational, if they didn't think and try to make sense of things, they could run off into danger and get themselves killed. Nothing in life was certain. People died. They went away. One had to be prepared. And it was something she planned to be. First with research because that was the fastest way for her to learn.
"They do... there is a lot that humanity and life have to offer if people just look for it. To be upset and wipe it out because of a disagreement... because of father issues I think the term was...It's just a sad excuse for a petty man with delusions of grandeur...Okay, from what I read, he is a fallen angel but the fact remains."
Yes. Belle was often times outspoken when she bothered to stick her head out of her books. If she felt someone was being stupid, she said it. She hadn't said it to Lucifer's face because, well, that was suicide and she wasn't an idiot but she could still see it. Angel or not, the excuse was weak and he was petty.
As Enjolras took stock of his state of being, Belle remained quiet and then nodded, following suit to stand up after him.
"It's not something that first comes to mind in jumping hundreds of years into the future." Giving a small smile to reassure him that really, it was fine that he didn't think to ask of that first. Then he motioned to the amulet and she nodded, "It is definitely a concern but luckily, we can get you an amulet at the complex. This way." Holding her book to her chest, Belle led Enjolras back to the complex, pointing out the things she had learned about in regards to the technology. Cars. Electricity. It really was fascinating.... or it was for her.
Arriving at the complex lobby, Belle went to where the amulets were as well as the keys and picked one of each up before handing them to Enjolras.
