At least he was willing to sit down even if it was just a little bit of shock. That was good. Some men could be so hard headed that they refused to listen to reason. Or listen at all. Okay, that was mostly Gaston but still. It was refreshing that Enjolras as willing to at least listen and humor her in this. Belle really had no desire to force him to sit. She would if she had to, but it was just easier for everyone involved if he listened of his own accord.
And... he had heard of America. Which was more than could be said for Belle. Well as America, anyway. Five hundred years of history she'd had to catch up on. As well as the mythology of this place for the things they were up against. So she'd re-read Revelations and paid more attention to it, but she still was lost in regards to that. She wasn't certain what had been faced yet and what was to come. She knew that this had been going on for a while since they had everything set up for new arrivals,so clearly things must have already happened that had been foretold, but there was that.
"I understand. I showed up last week and before being here, I was in the woods outside Salon-de-Province though I was born in Paris. And the how is very hard to believe but it is not only a location jump but time jump, or it was for me..."
And then he was standing and Belle was about to protest when he introduced herself. The comment on if he must be rescued by a girl caused the teen to quirk a brow but she managed to suppress the eye roll this time around as he was new and in shock and well, he at least had more manners than Gaston. So instead, she gave a slight curtsey.
"Bonjour, Monsieur Enjolras. Now will you rest again? I can tell you what I know, though I have only been here a week myself and an still learning."
