Who: Eponine and Open! What: And now she's all alone again... Where: A Lawrence Park When: 23rd June - Evening Rating: TBD Status: Incomplete
Eponine Thenardier screamed. The gunshot wound didn't hurt anymore but this could not be heaven. And she had been in Heaven. Of a sort anyway, she remembered, or did she...everything was so scattered now. She'd been lying at the barricade with Marius, she had been in his arms having done what he'd asked of her, and yet safe in his embrace, so safe and then...
Her head pounded at the noise, Music, or something like music coming from no instrument she could see around her, loud shrill noise coming closer and closer and closer. She covered her ears with her hands running from the noise loud now as if it was next to her, and then fading again. Fading as it had come.
"You okay kid?" Finally a voice, something she understood, sort of understood anyway.
"Oui, yes...I..."
The words felt funny on her tongue, she did not know so much English, only what she had learned in the lessons she'd had as a very young girl. She knew a lot of things, like she'd told him, And he'd joked with her. Oh Mairus, she hoped he'd made it off the barricade."Where is the place Madame, please?" she asked, remembering her manners.
"Uh, Lawrence" said the woman looking down at the girls long coat and hat still bloodstained, and the very obvious French accent. "Kansas...USA?"
That didn't help.
"What's your name honey?" she tried, and Eponine's eyes widened as a pink haired guy with nose studs and chains walked past. That didn't make any sense. None of this made sense, and what was that noise. She didn't like it, didn't want to be around it. It reminded her of the Paris streets, the noise, the constant noise only this was different. And no one was running. No one was shooting. Shouting insults. People were happy with the noise.
"...Eponine. I am named Eponine" she answered, before the noise came back, shrill and loud.
