Sometimes it was easier to believe in the impossible, if only to stay sane. Belle would take everything she was given with a logical outlook, but she would still believe in the impossible. Then again, it was pretty impossible to time travel and continent jump in the blink of an eye and she had. So.. what choice did Belle really have in the matter? None, really. It was that or freak out and make it impossible to adjust which was just stupid.
"That is what life is, right? Facing it. You can live your life behind doors, doing what you are expected and never stepping out, running from the unknown. Or you can take it as the adventure it is."
Yes, she was still idealistic in her own way, still wanted her adventures and this really was an adventure. She would face it as the heroines in her stories did. Head on. Because it was good advice. To hide because something was strange or new? How was that living? But then Emma was explaining the complex in more detail so the teen listened, nodding slowly as she took it all in.
"So people can stay here for a long time yet time remains still where they are from? If they have been here long enough to know how difficult it is and to set up a place to stay safe and protected..."
Musing more to herself on the matter than anything else, Belle looked at the cell phone and blinked. She had never seen something like that. Even with her father's inventions, that was new and fascinating. She would definitely have to figure out what it was later. As if she didn't have enough to learn. Hopefully there would be books.... those were definitely beneficial to the learning process, at least for Belle. The books would give her something to learn from so that she could better defend herself. She wasn't a fighter, but she could use her intellect to her advantage.
