Oh, wow. Woooow. The New World? This poor girl was definitely way out there. And then she gave her name and... Seriously, Seal? Seriously? Belle from Paris? Well, France, born in Paris. What were the odds? Emma nodded, attempting to look reassuring when in truth, she was really kind of annoyed. Henry would eat this up. She got yanked to a new dimension and still had fairytale characters showing up at her doorstep. But this wasn't the one from her world, she could figure that much. In fact... The dress. Disney. Oh, it would figure.
"The New World eventually gets named America. Then they split it into fifty states. For a while it was run by several countries but they ended up becoming an independent nation." She waved her hand around, as if demonstrating. "And this is just one little part of it. Primary language is English, though you may find some French speakers as well. It's a smaller city, much smaller than Paris but...maybe bigger than where you're from back home?" She didn't do fairytales, as a general rule. No, the irony wasn't lost on her. But she did have a vague idea of the story of Beauty and the Beast.
She hesitated. Again, not good with the whole welcoming thing. But, in a weird way, this was one of 'her' people. From a different world, yes, but still. Henry would want her to be nice. To take care of her. "You probably won't believe this, and I won't blame you. I didn't either." She motioned towards a park bench, partially so she could keep an eye on Belle and partially so she could explain this without feeling quite so awkward. She took a seat and took a deep breath.
"How's your religious study, Belle? Are you familiar with the Bible at all? The book of Revelations?" Because she wasn't, but if she remembered, Belle was a reader. And the Bible had been around then, after all. So...maybe.
