Her words only drove his smirk harder and faster and he raised an eyebrow with that smirk and nodded to her words. He had a half-crush on her already, truthfully, and he wished he could be more. He knew, however, that he could not. The Other Guy lurked, ready to destroy any chance at that sort of happiness.
Even so, his eyes lit as he nodded, stepping close to start melting metal, eyes flicking from her to it and back. "One should always use the utmost care, making sure one's fingers are li8mber as one carefully manipulates the elemental essentials of each formula. One must be sure to tweak them with purposeful distinction and utilize the exactitude neccesary to penetrate each problem and each action with a building result."
His hands were busy as he spoke, and his voice had taken on a soft, low quality as he continued. Of old, multitasking was Bruce's utmost skill. And here and now as he melted metals and spoke to her, flirting, soft voice speaking, he utilized it to the most excellent end.
"When one approaches a hypothetical situation the second time, and the third, each advance must be further into the problem, pressing in, then retreating to see the results, and proceeding faster only when one is sure of one's success. One must watch for signs of the right course, in the accumulation of water, the movement of molecular reaction, and the dilation of such orifices as are presently being stimulated by scientific actions, in order to make sure one is proceeding at just the right rate, just the right way." His eyes flicked to hers again.
"After all, one does not want to approach the wrong such way in, and find one has mis-stepped, and found a path that is not only not open, but not available, and could cause the entire experiment to shut down."
