Jacen didn't know if he was in any way ready for this. Luke Skywalker had long been a name that had sent Jacen into a rant, be it about their views in the Force or the fact that Luke hadn't tried to save him and had instead pointed his twin sister, like the sword of the Jedi she was right at his heart. It had been a messy relationship between nephew and uncle long before he had ever taken the name Caedus but that of course had only made it worse.
And then he had taken Mara's life as his sacrifice and tried to make Ben his apprentice, so lost by then in his own madness that he'd felt no qualms about the choice. Luke had managed to save Ben of course, and so Jacen had moved on to Tahiri, ready and willing to use the love she still felt for Anakin to get her on his side. If he was honest with himself, he really had no grounds to feel toward his uncle as he did. He had made the choices he had for reasons that he still stood by. For Allana in more ways than he could ever explain to his daughter or even his wife to whom he'd told everything. But it seemed like Luke knew. He was older than Jacen had known him and it seemed like he'd been through more. And he seemed remarkably at ease with Jacen given their past. But nonetheless he'd asked to meet and Jacen wouldn't deny him that.
He'd arrived at the cafe weaponless and ready for whatever was to come. Ordering the strongest coffee they had on the menu, he found seats for them and waited as calmly as he could for the presence in the Force he knew so well to find him. He wasn't shutting his own presence down anymore. It had seemed a pointless exercise and he'd gotten used to being more open since he'd been here, Allana didn't like it when he shut down. She never had done, even as a child. So for her mostly, he tried not to push it.
