A kind of glee filled him, but not the kind of glee everyone else felt. Oh no, this was a dark, twisted, and completely evil kind of glee. Things were about to come to a head, and the Master was relishing in it. He always had thrived where there was pain and chaos. But the times when he had been able to get one over on the Doctor were the best ones. And the past two and a half weeks? He'd had their humanized TARDIS, and he knew they could feel her pain, everything he had done to her in this span of time. Now they were coming for her. For him. But things might just go far differently than the Doctors thought it would.
"Yes, I've been ready for them. I knew it would only be a matter of time before the Doctors found us. Only they have the right to be here at the end." Which is why he'd warded this place so those other humans couldn't find him. They weren't worth his time, really, save for getting killed and that's what the Autons were for. To keep them from getting to him.
Looking at Romana, her choice of words worried him slightly, but it was of little consequence now. He smiled at her. "And I love you, no matter what happens here." For that one moment, he managed to not let the ruthless glee overtake him and he remained calm despite that Oncoming Storm he felt.
