It was surreal to see Luke. More than that, Mara felt a rush of emotions, love and relief being the most prominent. She was relieved to have him back, after the things she had gone through in this place. And not to mention her death back home, but that was the least on her mind right now.
When they met, her arms instantly and instinctively wrapped around him tightly. She was virtually clinging to him. He was real, she wasn't hallucinating or dreaming. Luke was really there. She returned his kiss, equaling every ounce of love and desire. Though her eyes were closed at this moment, she felt the tears well up in them.
As she felt his emotions within his Force presence, Mara realized she'd found the grounding she'd been lacking. For the first time since having been struck down by Pestilence, she felt centered and like everything was right in the universe again. Or at least it would be right. And in this moment, everything else faded away around them. All that mattered was her husband, her love, right there in her arms. Until that moment, she hadn't fully realized just how much she had missed him.
