This whole situation was making Mara feel like she was home again. It was beginning to look more and more like a war. There was no end to these Autons, and that was why Mara was out in the city, doing what she could to keep people safe. She was not one to just sit by when there were innocent people to protect. And when fellow displaced people were kidnapped. She had managed to locate a few. The meeting with Myka had been completely unplanned, but after running into each other, they had teamed up, putting both of their skills to use. Together, they had rescued three of their own and brought them back to the complex. It gave Mara hope that the others would be able to be found. And she had been right. Many of the missing, if not all, had been located by now.
But even with that reassurance, it did not stop the Autons. So being the dedicated fighter she was, she was not going to rest until these things were permanently disabled and the Master was taken care of. This was also an excellent way for her to vent. Oh she had so much turmoil, so much confusion within her. Ever since Jacen had saved her life here, she was so torn between hating him and wanting to reforge her relationship with her nephew. The truth of it was that she felt both. She could never forgive him for taking her life on Kavaan, but likewise she would always be grateful that he had saved her life when the coomb spores had nearly claimed her life a few weeks prior. It was difficult at the best of times, but Mara just hoped that venting along with meditation would help.
Beheading another Auton with her lightsaber, Mara glanced around her, noting that all the Autons in her general vacinity were now disabled. Standing up straight, she took a breath and ran her free hand through her long hair. She knew she could just use the Force to disable them, but Mara needed the release of combat, though it was mostly just her dodging being shot than actual combat, but she got the job done.
And it was at that precise moment that she felt a new presence in the Force. For a moment, she merely stood there as she realized who it was.
"Luke," she breathed. It was overwhelming what she felt in response to that. She may not have admitted it to anyone here, but she needed him. And now he was here. Keeping her lightsaber at the ready, she turned and started running in the direction she felt Luke's presence. Nothing else mattered right now except him. She missed him, and while she knew this place could bring people in and out as it wished, she had not gotten her hopes up. She didn't want to hope he would show up only to be disappointed.
She turned a corner and came to an abrupt halt. There he was, right before her eyes. "Luke!" She called out, finally deactivating her lightsaber and placing it back on her hip before she ran towards him again, wanting nothing more than to be in his arms.
