Demons. One God. She didn't know what Dahak was, but either way, anything tying to him upset Gabrielle, made her remember Hope. Solan. The betrayal. Made her think of the volcano and having to keep her alive to save Xena's life. The fear and disconnect. That her family could have been killed because she had to believe in the good of people. Had believed Hope could overcome that evil and how far she had fallen. The Destroyer...
"Seems a bag of rocks would be more fun..." Even though she was trying to keep up with Iolaus' conversation, which thankfully wasn't much as he was in pain, which wasn't okay but it made the conversation easier to follow, Gabrielle was still more focused on tending to his injuries. It was the one thing she could do without messing up. At least, so far. Who knew if she'd soon find a way to mess that up as well. Still, the comment about the food was something to think about.
"That doesn't make sense.... if they wanted us dead, they would have just killed us..I suppose it's to keep us weak, though.."
And proof that Gabrielle knew a bit more on strategizing and things she shouldn't know about than she liked to pretend. Because to admit she knew this sort of thing proved that she had indeed changed since being with Xena. She wasn't the optimistic, naive teen who had first met Iolaus when Prometheus had been taken, or the broken hearted side kick when Xena had been dead..
She had to have faith that someone would find them. The boards did show that a lot of people were out looking for people. They'd survive this. It would be insulting for the two Ancient Greeks to die from this after all they had gone through in their home world.
