Gabrielle wasn't paying much attention to the boards. She did a couple of checks ever since learning that Iolaus was missing, just to see if he was back, but otherwise, she was searching. Livia's comment though, it stung. Asking if she had killed anyone. It still weighed heavily on her. Perhaps it always would. Gabrielle didn't know. What she did know though was that she wasn't going to give a response. She knew that this was Xena's daughter and that she needed a chance to see that she didn't have to believe in all Ares told her, but that didn't mean she could just let a comment like that go. If she responded, it would get bad. So Gabrielle just left it alone and went back to her search. She hadn't slept or eaten since the night before after Iolaus initially got separated from the group. This wasn't a war, this was insanity. This was Gabrielle's present belief. Not that she really wanted to think of wars and battles. No, she just wanted to find Iolaus and survive the plastic men.
While her fighting stick didn't involve fire, it was good for knocking limbs off the things. Iolaus had already stated they weren't alive so it wasn't like she was killing them, they were mindless from what she had seen and read. Gabrielle just wasn't a fan of fire presently. She still had nightmares of falling into the volcano. So fighting stick it was. And it had been working well since she had started the patrols and such with Hercules, Iolaus and Livia. Meaning that when she rounded a corner and was suddenly surrounded, she did the one thing that made sense, started knocking the plastic men into one another and then ran towards an older part of town with abandoned buildings and factories.
Running into one and searching for a means to protect herself, the blond blinked as she noticed people surrounding her. Oh. This wasn't good. But she was good at charades. Not that it did much good. She tried to ask for help and suddenly had a chain lashed at her. Leaping back, Gabrielle narrowed her eyes. Okay. Not the place to be. No matter. She could fight them off. Or they could overwhelm her and take her fighting stick.
"Hey!"
No response. Beyond getting hit in the head and knocked to the ground, causing Gabrielle to cry out in shock and pain, her vision blurring. Well, that hurt. Scrambling up, Gabrielle looked around, trying to find a way to fight back now that her method of self defense was gone only to get the chain lashed at her again.
"Really you don't have to do this. I know it seems suspicious I'd walk in but...HEY!"
Talking her way wasn't working. Either because of the language barrier or the fact that the men didn't seem to register anything beyond attacking her into a corner. She didn't even notice the door until she was shoved through it. Through her hair as she fell to the ground, Gabrielle noticed a red headed woman in a business suit trying to say something to the men before the door slammed shut and the woman moved to a corner. Her arms hurt, so when Gabrielle tried to shove herself up, they gave out and she just winced.
Sometimes being a side kick sucked. It was in the manual to get kidnapped and she was tired of it. The woman she was a sidekick to wasn't even there!
