"Great. Plastic things with no feelings." Explained why playing on their emotions didn't work. Not that Abby had tried to play on the emotions of the plastic men, but she had seen others try before she had gotten taken. But the guards? Right. They were brainwashed, so all of their emotions seemed to have been erased with that. Bloody brilliant. Unless... well, that was an idea maybe. If they were supposed to be alive, maybe they could try to play the sick card and get out that way. Now that was an idea....
"Chances of someone from your world being behind this, though? I mean, if they're from your world... are there others from there who would do something like this?"
Because Abby honestly didn't know. Which was all well and good except for situations like this. Because information could be useful, even if they were stuck in a damn warehouse with a way out but not knowing what it was because the blasted guards kept beating her back before she could find it. And then the comment on not giving up.
"Oh we definitely try without giving up. I'm too stubborn for that and I want to tell this person off, whoever is behind it." Because Abby was pissed off. It would have been easy to give up in the previous days when she was alone. And while her mind was a dark place, while she tended to be more pessimistic, she wasn't about to give up. If anything, she had to prove she could survive just because. Besides, if you want something done right, do it yourself.
"But yeah, we're in this together..."
Which was weird because most of Abby's history involving people involved people giving up and not caring. Focusing more on themselves than others. But this was the end of the world. If people didn't band together, then they were most assuredly dead.
