Either whomever had placed them together was incredibly smart, in hoping that their difference in personality would prove a deterrent to them getting out, or incredibly stupid because they could balance the other and see what the other might not because of different personality types in such situations. Time would tell in that mater. All they could do was go one step at a time and figure out just how to get out of there. Because Abby could already see the mistake of letting the two together. They were already trying to think of a way out once they weren't so sore.
"Autons?" Because Abby didn't watch science fiction and Doctor Who was like... the one thing Connor hadn't forced Abby to watch of the genre, so the blond had no idea what they were up against and she hadn't been around for the reveal on what the plastic men were. They had shown up while she'd been at work and that was it. "Plastic men, right?" That was the only thing she could think of. After all, brainwashed guards were just that. Brainwashed guards. No need for a special name.
"Anyway, yeah... there's a reason we're being held captive and not killed. After all, even if we're distractions, they could just kill us after taking us from view so people think we're missing and look despite us not being alive."
But if it had been days and Abby was still alive, that clearly wasn't the goal because she'd be dead by now and not just beaten down and forced to resort to how she'd survived as a child. But right now she wasn't drowning in the memories because she was able to focus on the conversation with Rose.
"Whatever the reason, we're alive and they don't want us to get out, so they keep the guards as a way to keep us from finding one. And if there weren't a way out? The guards would just stand there...."
Voice trailing off, Abby worried her lower lip in thought. Maybe she had missed something. But what? Not like it mattered as both blonds were far too exhausted at the moment from their previous interactions with kidnapping Autons and brainwashed guards keeping them from finding the exit to look at the moment. So Abby let silence fall briefly before Rose spoke up again, trying to reassure her. Or perhaps Rose was reassuring herself. Abby wasn't certain.
"Yeah.... Smaller area." Assuming they were even in Lawrence still. "Rather annoying as I'd prefer getting out on our own but, yeah, we'll get out somehow and be fine..."
Now all she could do was hope that Connor didn't get himself killed in the process. She'd have to yell at him if he did that.
