"There has to be someone who can keep a level head through this. Ordinarily I'd say the Doctor, but with the humanized TARDIS," because she refused to go calling her Sexy, "and now me missing, it might be more difficult. Out of the three, though, maybe one of them..." Sighing, she paused her search. For a moment, she thought she'd felt a bit of fresh air coming in from somewhere. A crack they could pry at. But a moment later she realized she hadn't felt anything at all. Wishful thinking, maybe.
Huffing a breath to get her hair out of her eyes, Rose leaned against the wall, her head tilted back. "Fantastic. So there is a way out, they'd just rather beat us to a pulp than let us find it." And Abby did look like she'd been beat pretty badly. Was that in store for her, too? Great. She knew she'd gotten too comfortable in Lawrence. Torchwood had prepped her for all the abuse she'd taken in plenty of different dimensions. This, though? She supposed she should have expected it. It was a war after all.
"Are you all right?" she asked a moment later, looking up to focus on Abby. The girl was so similar to herself in some ways. She could see years of pain behind her eyes, similar to the Doctor's, really. She could see a good woman who, while guarded, could be kind when needed. Definitely someone Rose wanted on her side.
Girl Code be damned. She needed help. And, more than that, she could use a friend just then.
"They're not stupid. They took my mobile. Brainwashed, maybe, but they're damn good."
