While Iolaus might well indeed talk too much, Gabrielle was often talkative as she was always telling stories. It was part of being a bard, really. Spinning tales, elaborate and not. But words wouldn't make any of this right, wouldn't make sense of what was going on around her. Even in the haze of her mind, she knew that Greek was not the language of this place, so had anyone else found her... well, it would have been interesting. Because there would have been charades and confusion and in her state, Gabrielle never would have figured it out.
Perhaps it was ridiculous to believe that things could ever be okay. How could they? They weren't home. Gabrielle had blood on her hands. Yet... she believed Iolaus. Perhaps it was just because she wanted to believe him, because he was from home and was familiar and there but whatever the reason was, Gabrielle believed him. She believed that things would be okay. So she didn't really realize that they were getting odd looks or people were stopping to stare but she just nodded mutely as Iolaus took her hand and started to lead her away from the people.
"Right... safe..."
Well, she said something? Not much. Two words probably didn't count but it was something. But she really was not in an entertaining mood, not like she knew Hercules was there as well and might want to know of what had happened since they last saw one another or news on Xena... But she could fake a smile like the best of them if she had to. Iolaus would know just because he was seeing her now, but she'd pretend around Hercules if she had to. For now it was getting to this safe place. That was probably most important at the moment.
