Iolaus was unable to stay in the complex much longer that night. Between Cara threatening to torture him and Livia befriending her he was starting to doubt himself all over again. If he let Livia befriend Cara he might lose her, he felt like he had just begun to make some progress in that area. She was starting to talk to him, and then Cara came along and made things difficult. Why couldn't anything just be easy?
He hadn't bothered to adapt to his surroundings, fashion was never his main focus. He still wore his purple jacket and all the leather. Occasionally it drew stares, but he was confident enough to pull it off on a typical day. He had his sword at his side and his arms were folded grumpily. This hadn't been his most favorite day ever. At least he wasn't still stuck on the fact that he'd died. Again.
No, now he just wanted to keep Livia from being killed. He had other things to worry about. He wasn't paying much attention to the city itself as it passed him by and might have missed Gabrielle entirely if it wasn't for a dog stopping to bark at him as he had interrupted it's evening walk. Iolaus raised an eyebrow. "Well excuse me." He said sarcastically as he took a shortcut to the park to avoid more of the unhappy dog and headed toward the street.
That was when he saw her. Blinking and rubbing his eyes few times as if he was uncertain that it was little more than a mirage in the desert he reached out to her. "Gabrielle?"
