She couldn't let him do this. Maybe it was a trap. Maybe it wasn't. But the way the Master's timeline was going was showing he planned to make her into a Paradox machine again. Rape her shell and defile her and make her wrong. No. She couldn't let that happen. Even if she was in this form, she'd still feel it. She was still connected to herself. There were two but there weren't. It was strange and complicated but whatever the reasoning, she remained connected to her proper shell and she couldn't let that vile excuse of a Time Lord ruin her for some plan of word destruction and ruining of time. This was why she'd been focusing on his time stream. Him, the Rani and Romana. The Rani had left but him and Romana... they remained and she focused. Focused because she wanted to ensure her thief, thieves, knew and prepared. They knew the truth of what he was capable of. He was so good at being inconspicuous but he would always end up doing this. Destroying. And he had to be stopped.
But he wanted to use her. Make her wrong. And she couldn't. She tried to tell her thieves, she did. But she was in such a panic that she couldn't get the words out. Not even in a rambling form. Just broken words as she bolted. She was connected to the computer, yes, so she'd feel responses, see them in her mind, but the trick would be if she could form a response. Instead she just ran, following the Master's time stream. It wasn't in Lawrence, that much she was certain of. Sos he kept running as fast as she could, despite her body protesting, the lungs struggling to maintain any oxygen, her legs trembling as she finally ended up at the location.
This was bad. Dangerous. She should tell her thieves where she was but that thought didn't really cross her mind. She was in a panic. Just as she had been when Jack showed up. He'd been wrong and so she'd run as far as she could with no thought. She found the Master and brought him back by going there and now she had to run to him to keep him from ruining her all over again. Panic was bad because it led to mistakes but all she knew was that she had to stop this from happening. Had to stop him. It didn't matter that this wasn't her specialty. She didn't fight, didn't talk sense into people. She took her thief where he needed to be and being in this form for so long was so very confusing and made her uncertain of her place. But what she knew was she needed to respond to this.
He knew, of course. Knew that if she saw in his time stream the attempt to make her wrong, she'd go running and she played right into that because she refused to risk it being a lie.
