Gaia was fully aware the only reason she had been left with nothing was because of her lavish spending habits, though she wasn't about to say that to Hercules. She was very much the woman that needed the best of everything. And, of course, her opium came direct from Cyprus and was of the highest quality. It was perhaps strange to miss a drug, but here it was. The opium Moriarty had obtained for her was good, but it was still a bit different from what she had been used to. No doubt that was attributed to the fact opium had fallen out of favor.
Gratitude. It was a difficult time, but it is always a relief to have that person you can always count on.
There was a bit of a sad smile on her lips. Oh she missed Lucretia badly. She really wished her friend would be brought here. She needed that sense of security, that bond. Gaia was of course reaching out and making new relationships here, but no one was Lucretia. No one here would ever know her the way Lucretia did. And, of course, no one was a lover the way Lucretia was.
At the question of amusing stories, Gaia arched her brows in amusement, smirking at Hercules before responding. Of those I have many. One time, my husband was trying to organize a party for me without my knowledge. While I usually am able to spend hours on end in the market, that day I started feeling a little under the weather, so I returned home early to find my husband in dire straights trying to set things up, and I thought the man was going to drop dead on me when he saw me walk in the door. He tried to tell me that Venus herself was being summoned and I must dismiss myself immediately and not leave our rooms. Needless to say, later on I more than made up for my unexpected arrival.
Gaia smirked a bit. Despite her husband having been twice her age, he always had been good in bed. It was one of the positives her husband had, and didn't make her marriage insufferable.
