Hercules wasn't well versed in the landscape of the Roman Empire, other than it was large and wanted to become even larger, possibly covering the entire world. At least they wouldn't get Eire. If not for a while. Hearing that this woman's late husband was involved in Roman politics, Hercules merely nodded, growing a bit more wary. Xena had told him how...volatile Roman politics could be. Still, there was no Roman Empire here for this woman to fall back on. As far as he knew at least.
"I'm not too familiar with Rome," he admitted. He wished he had some way of speaking Latin better and wished his teachers when he was younger knew more about the language to teach to him. But hopefully he and Gaia could still keep finding ways to communicate.
"Any ideas on why we were brought here?" he asked, glancing around before bringing his attention back to her. She really was quite beautiful and he let his eyes roam her form. He definitely noted how the dress clung to her just so, as if she was daring people to look at her. He forced his mind to stay focused though. Now was not the time for sultry thoughts of any kind. Loved ones in his life ran the danger of being hurt by the gods. Though at least he no longer had Hera to worry about now. But there was still Ares to consider too.
