At least Galen didn't point out her misused word. Not that she would have minded had he pointed it out nicely. She was learning, and really one only learned things when they were actively doing them. Again, she filed that little piece of information away for potential later usage. Namely the part about Galen not always being observant outside of life or death situations. "Sometimes life is much like a life or death battle, is it not? Some things may not put a life in danger, but some things do require being quick without having death loom as a potential outcome."
Excellent. Galen noticed her legs. Only not for very long, but she'd gotten him to look there at least. Perhaps he'd only looked because of the movement. All right, time for another tactic. She shifted a bit, placing herself in a such position where he had an even better view of her ample cleavage. Now to see if he looked there and let his gaze linger longer than necessary.
While Gaia did see that some people found meaning in fighting for others, she was not that sort of person. She would leave that to those that were actually noble in spirit, which Galen seemed to try to be. At his words and smile, Gaia smiled back at him. "It was hard, but I did survive. I was able to get help from a long time friend of mine. Then I found myself here." Which was jarring and once again she was left with nothing and trying to scrape together an existence that she could live with.
