Galen nodded. "I find it a bit odd at times to wake up and not see droids walking around, though I am starting to get use to it. But, if I can help you adjust to using the technology here, I will try my best to do so." True it wasn't the technology he was use to, but he clearly had a better grasp on it than she did. So he might as well be helpful to her.
While Galen didn't know much about this Roman Empire, it was clear it had been a vast territory. And something told him it was regulated to just a single planet. Hardly what he'd call an Empire, but perhaps for Gaia's day and age it was a legitimate empire. "This Roman Empire, it was on Earth, right?" He did want to get his facts straight after all. Perhaps after he left he could go to his room and find more information about this Roman Empire to know more about when Gaia came from. He was certainly enjoying her company so far, that was certain.
"I know the feeling," he confessed. "One minuted I was being electrocuted by the Emperor to save my friends and allies, the next I'm here on a strange world I know nothing about. But I imagine being thrown two thousand years into the future is a bit more jarring than my own experience." At least he had had the benefit of knowing about technology and such.
