While Gaia well knew life wasn't always so easy, she preferred the easy life. It was why she'd married a wealthy man so she could life to her standards. Of course, his money had dried up by the time of his death, but she was more than aware she had to work for things she wanted. And she shared the statement Galen made. "Exactly. That is one of the most clear truths life has to offer us." She smiled at him.
Fighter indeed. And again her mind was starting to race with thoughts of what the rest of him was like if his arm was this muscled. Though while she wouldn't mind just shoving him against a wall and starting to have her way with him, she'd have to take a slightly more delicate approach. After all, Galen obviously wasn't used to anything remotely sexual. Which would only make a seduction that much more appealing to her. It was a challenge, and while she didn't like engaging in such things with those that were inexperienced, she had a feeling Galen was a fast learner and could no doubt pick things up easily once learned.
As he spoke of being used to lifts that moved faster than the one in the complex, Gaia looked at him with wide, shocked eyes. "Truly? That one terrifies me enough. I fear to think what the ones you are used to would do to me!" When he said the word ships, Gaia was thinking the kind of ships that sailed on the oceans because those were the ones she knew. She wasn't exactly sure why ships would require elevators, but she pushed the thought aside. Making a note of where his room was in the event she ever wished to seek him out, she nodded a bit. "Meditate? In a religious manner?" She was completely unfamiliar with the kind of meditating he intended to do.
It did not take them long to climb the stairs, and when they got to the fourth floor, she led him over to room 402, one of the large single-bedroom rooms. Opening the door, she stepped inside and let go of his arm. "Please, make yourself comfortable." She smiled warmly. Her room was perfectly neat and in order. "May I offer you something to drink?" Might as well be a good hostess as well.
