"Truth. You are most wise." Gaia smiled warmly. Though she was learning how people in this century spoke, Gaia still held to the cadence and speech patterns of her own time, which sounded strange to anyone used to the way language worked in the 21st Century. It would be a pattern that Gaia might eventually break, or at least use less often the longer she was here.
Gaia listened as Galen was blunt about his answer. She didn't like the sound of him returning to his own world only to be killed. It only further reinforced her belief that life was for having fun and enjoying all the pleasures it had to offer. Giving him a sympathetic smile, she gazed at him. "Life should be enjoyed while you have it. One knows not how long the gods have granted them upon this earth, so one must make the best of it." In that she was being honest herself. She held to that belief, and if she could help Galen find some of that, she would most certainly do it. Especially if it also brought her pleasure along the way.
Now came the fun part. Galen had offered his company. There were a few ways Gaia could take this. Though as she thought it over for a moment, she realized going outside was probably not the best. Pestilence was running around out there somewhere, and Gaia would rather not run the risk of running into him or getting sick. "I would appreciate the company. We could go to my room? You are right in your statement that going outside may not be the best decision currently. But I find myself wanting for company." And again with the flirtatious gleam to her eyes and smile.
