It would take a lot for Abby to admit to the fact that she was relieved that Connor was there. Mostly because even though they were engaged now, she still had issues when it came to admitting to needing help. But Connor was the one who always seemed to make it better. Well... when he wasn't the one making it worse by dating skank bitches or deciding that man made anomalies were perfectly harmless and not listening to her when he had always listened to her before all because of some jerk who was tied to Helen Cutter. Those were neither here nor now, though. No. Connor was there and he always was... and she needed that whether she admitted it or not.
As he mentioned putting her to bed, Abby just scrunched up her nose in annoyance.
"It's not that bad..." Only to cough. Timing, her body clearly had it. Shaking the dizziness that accompanied the cough off, the tiny blond focused her attention on what Connor was actually saying. Because more crazy than anomalies. Clearly that was something she needed to focus on to make sure she understood. Though hearing they were in the middle of the biblical apocalypse? Well, it was only natural to scoff in disbelief at that.
But then he was going on, explaining the different times and planets and dimensions. Different times and dammit if that didn't hurt. Because if he were from a year or so before her...
"Which means we aren't...."
Looking down, Abby looked at the ring on her finger, the ring Connor had always worn around his neck until she proposed. They weren't engaged. Even together... he didn't understand her hesitancy because they hadn't had that talk. Didn't know how she was afraid of commitment because she was used to everyone leaving. Yet he was here. He was Connor and that was just... Abby didn't know. Comforting because Connor was the one who was always there more or less. Yet...
"Okay... so we're both twenty six, then...." And then the comment on knowing just how long had passed, "Wait, how do you know how long it's been for me more or less? I mean if you had your twenty-sixth birthday here, that means you showed up when you were twenty-five..." Which was around the time Cutter died... Jack showed up... There was so much that had happened since then and yet he could somehow tell how many years had passed?
