Sam let his head fall back against the pillow behind him and sighed. "It's not okay, actually," Sam answered, looking up at the ceiling. "I mean, for us...maybe. It's certainly not healthy, but it's not something I'm...I'm not complaining." That much was rather obvious. Sam had held back on the complaints steadily since their first time.
Being possessive of a demon was bad. The most he could hope for was to be willing to put up with the company of one, not screw, confide in, and occasionally enjoy having around. That was forbidden in the world of a Hunter. Better yet, it was forbidden in the world of a Winchester.
Sam was able to acknowledge the fact that they had screwed. That was the most he had been willing to admit up to now. Tonight there was a new element being brought to the table and it confused him just as much as every other aspect of Ruby herself did.
His gaze was still fixed on the ceiling. He was tired. "I dunno what to make of it," he finally declared, exhaling slowly. Sam momentarily closed his eyes. He'd rest a little before leaving. "It's screwed up." And they both knew it.
