If there was one thing Anatoly had become skilled at of late, it was avoiding the general populace as much as possible. Of course, it was pretty much difficult to do so when he had to go into public places like stores and cafes, but in getting around the city? He'd learned shortcuts and back ways that tended to cut down on the number of people he encountered on his way somewhere. As much as the park was a hot spot for people to swarm him, he was glad that currently, they were oblivious to him.
"Whatever happens next, I just hope it isn't focused on my family." Because really, the Sergievskys truly needed a break so all of them could properly deal with everything that had been happening. Which was easier said than done because he knew how Svetlana was, and that was only magnified now that she was sick. No wonder he needed some air to collect himself again.
And then she asked that question, and Anatoly's eyes widened a bit and his complexion wasn't certain if it should turn red with embarrassment or white with fright. So it decided to do a mixture of the two, causing him to turn a bit pink. "Uh it depends on the person, really. It is not just you. Well, perhaps a little bit. No, I don't mean that in the way it sounded!" And now the pink was turning a bit more red. Because really, he was just digging himself further into the ground. Which is exactly how this would have gone with his sister. "What I mean is that you look exactly like someone I used to know."
Smooth, Anatoly, smooth. He was glad Svetlana wasn't here to add to this. Otherwise he'd probably be one second away from burying his head in the ground.
