Well Jaime wasn't the only one who didn't know what was going to happen. Isabela had no plan going into this. In fact, she tended to avoid such situations, so this was completely and utterly new territory for her. And she wasn't so sure she liked it. On the one hand, she could see Jaime and perhaps stop herself from feeling like she was crumbling from within. On the other, would this do any good? She didn't expect Jaime to come out of this ready to choose her over Cersei, she wasn't naive. She just truly hoped that come the morning, she would feel less pain and angst than she currently did. After all, such things gave one wrinkles and premature aging. Or something. And Isabela was far too young to have wrinkles. Okay yes, the amount of sun she got from spending years on the sea didn't really help her skin, but it wasn't like they had skin care regiments in Thedas like they did here.
Yes, she well knew what short skirts and her bare legs did to Jaime, but Isabela didn't purposefully put the skirt on. She just had an incredible aversion to pants. Always had. But it could've been worse, she could've worn the clothing she'd been wearing when she'd first shown up here, which was basically a corset with an attached loin-cloth-type thing. So the skirt was currently covering more of her legs than her natural clothing would have. The only thing she typically wore that covered her legs were thigh-high boots, but since she wasn't going anywhere, she didn't bother putting any footwear on.
And even in those casual clothes, Jaime still looked dashing. Damn him. He looked good in anything, and even better in nothing. She nodded simply to his half-statement, half-question of sitting down. She closed the door behind him, before she went and sat down. Great, so it fell to her to find a way to start the conversation. This was so far out of her comfort zone it wasn't even funny. So...she broke the silence with a statement she was far more comfortable with.
"It's good to see you." She looked at him, feeling completely mixed on being here with him. She gave him a little smile, glad that they were here like this. It had felt like ages had passed since she'd last seen him. And well, it had at least been a couple months. But now it was just him and her, and nothing could come between them in this moment and break them apart again. Well okay, so that really depended on where the conversation went. But for now, it was just the two of them with everything yet to be said.
