"We have someone like that, too. Darrell..he's an inspector, but he knows what we can do. Sometimes it makes things a lot easier...other times, it makes things harder. Then, some of the people we've helped remember, too, but not many. The general public isn't supposed to know that magic is real, so we have to keep it a secret for that reason."
"It's good that you liked the school. Back then, school was absolutely not my thing at all, hence the taking off for New York. I wanted nothing more than to get as far away from San Francisco as I could." Giving a small shrug, she sat back when the food was set down, and gave a smile as she studied it.
"This all looks delicious." Picking up a fork, she began to dig in, anticipating the flavors already. She ate slowly, savoring each bite, then looked over to Bruce after a few minutes. "How is yours?"
