Bruce smiled a little as she admitted that she and her sisters had died a few times and came back. "While I can't say I've been turned into different things, I am familiar with the whole dying and coming back to life. I've never experienced it personally, but a few of my friends have." He remembered how the world itself grieved for Superman when Doomsday came. And then there was Jason. Jason, who had been in a warehouse that Joker had rigged to explode. He remembered holding his fallen partner's body in his arms, sadness and rage swirling in him.
After a brief overview of his past, he smiled and shrugged some. "At least I'm never bored. And it sounds like you're never bored either." Bruce had to admit, this was definitely one of the freer dinner conversations he'd had with a date. Most of the time he have to droll on and on about his charity work or make up lies about his summer adventures as a youth. And if the date was Selina Kyle? He had to step twice as careful given she was Catwoman.
But tonight was progressing well and like Phoebe, he hoped that they would have many more dates and time together to share interesting stories and to possibly make their own. Patrolling the night before had certainly been interesting.
