The fighting was headache-enducing, and Mara really didn't like the tone that set. But it also gave her a better idea of the family dynamics the Solos had here. Somehow, Mara would see that peace would come to them all and they could be a family again. Of course, she still had no idea how to actually do that, but she would a find a way. Though doing so would also require her to grow closer to Jacen, to trust him again. And right now, all she trusted about him was that he wasn't as dark as he once was and he was trying.
Oh Jacen would have a long way to go to earn her trust back given how many times he'd broken it and betrayed her. Let alone the fact that he had killed her. They both had a long ways to go before they could find themselves anywhere near having a family relationship again. But it was easier to connect to Jaina and Anakin again. Even now knowing exactly what point in time Jaina was from in their own universe, Mara could more easily talk to her than she could to Jacen. And Anakin, oh she'd missed him. It was so reassuring to know he was here, though she could feel he was more reserved, more timid about things. She couldn't exactly be certain what the cause was, but she would guess part of it was his relationship to his two siblings, as she'd seen evidence of the day before.
Mara sensed Anakin's arrival before he knocked. Even so, she didn't bother to get up from the couch until she heard the knock. She'd been watching a documentary on the Discovery channel. Television was incredibly interesting, and she'd found some channels she liked as they helped teach her about this planet and its history. After hearing the knock, she turned the TV off and got up, going over to the door and answering it. She smiled warmly at her nephew.
"Hello, Anakin," she greeted warmly. And without warning, she pulled him into a hug. Because she had a sense he could use one. And truthfully, she could use one herself.
