Galinda knew that Damon was a vampire, of course. But she had never seen his face vamped out. It reminded her of... something. A memory forced away. She knew it was there but she couldn't recall what. Still, it was frightening. The good thing was the blond was able to remind herself that it was still Damon and he wouldn't hurt her. She knew that others said he would. That he couldn't be trusted. Basically anyone from his world who wasn't Elena. But she had a deep seated faith in him that he wouldn't hurt her so all she did was nod mutely and sit back down. It hurt too much to move, anyway.
James meanwhile just snarled in aggravation. He was too hyped up on adrenaline to notice the fact that the man he was fight was so not human in his facial features. All he knew was this punk had decided to interfere with his personal affairs with his girlfriend.
Ready to punch him, James instead doubled over from the punch to his stomach only for his head to snap to the side from the second blow. Stumbling, the man spat blood to the side, vision blurring as he tried to set his glare on Damon.
