Myka wasn't even thinking of that potential because it was far too dangerous. If Moriarty found a way to recreate artifacts? Then the danger of this place would intensify. Especially if they weren't ordinary artifacts because the three from their world wouldn't be able to know what to do because undoubtedly he'd modify it so their normal techniques wouldn't work. It was a headache even thinking about it. Which was why she wasn't doing that at all.
"No, we won't forget about them. Just knowing that it will most likely be human helps matters. We need to prepare for anything but focusing on the human aspects would be best."
And that was something Myka could handle. Human cruelty. She could protect about that. The reason Sam died was because of an artifact. She still felt guilt over it, but in the end, it wasn't human error but an artifact. Which was why she hadn't been there. He'd gone early. She'd been frozen in time for only a few seconds. So long as something like that didn't happen here? Well, they'd be fine then.
Myka didn't mind that Helena hadn't thought to make the tea herself. She was overwhelmed and rightfully so. Besides, it gave Myka a chance to re-center herself again as well as Helena in case she wanted to. It wasn't like she'd judge the other woman for her reaction to this, but they both had pride. As the kettle whistle blew, Myka pulled down two mugs and placed the tea into them, pouring the water into them and letting it steep for a bit before she moved back to the living room, handing one mug to Helena.
She wasn't surprised to see her working on building things. It would hopefully help ground her. Though Myka already knew she'd be spending more time with Helena now just to ensure her safety. Just because it seemed likely that Moriarty would start with the mind games didn't mean Myka was going to be lax in this. Not at all.
