Helena knew Myka was trying to help, but she was so close to exploding, to just going off the deep end she was rather scattered at the moment. So in another attempt to keep herself from mugging Myka, taking her gun and running off to find Moriarty, she slid her hand inside her shirt and wrapped her fingers tightly around her locket. She closed her eyes for some moments, trying to steady herself. But it was difficult given the circumstances. Christina would always be her undoing, but there was nothing she could do to fix that. Helena had too much of a connection and love for her daughter to just let her heart harden and slip into not caring about her. There was a time when the only person she had to talk to on occasion during her pregnancy had been Christina. And the bond she felt to her daughter, while broken, was still a strong one, even 120 years later.
Of course Helena didn't expect Myka to understand why she would be the cause of loss for her impulse control. After all, while there were some tendencies towards jealous over Irene, Helena was fairly certain Myka only cared about her as a friend and nothing more. While friends could easily hold such places in another friend's heart, for Helena it went deeper than that. She just had not admitted such things to anyone other than herself. Though it would be fairly easy for anyone else to look her interactions with Myka and see it.
"Whatever he does, it is to ultimately upset Irene and get a rise out of her. I am but a means to whatever end he wishes to see." Helena shook her head, really not liking being a pawn in someone else's game. Again, she started pacing, unable to stand still for very long. She was trying to calm down, but it wasn't working. All she could think about was what Moriarty had in store for her.
"We know he likes games, so no doubt he'll try toying with me, trying to make me move where he wants me to on his chess board. It's more a matter of trying not to make the move he wants me to." Which was the question, what did Moriarty want to be the outcome from his post? Did he want Irene to know yet? Or had he thought she'd turn to Myka first? Which, seemed the more likely choice at the moment. "Bollocks!" Helena cursed suddenly. And yet again she punched her wall with her free hand, wincing this time. "It doesn't even matter what move I make, he undoubtedly has his game set up and prepared entirely for any response I'd give. He's done his homework, and he knew I would turn to either you or Irene first."
And when Irene wouldn't immediately jump on Moriarty for upsetting Helena, he'd know she'd turned to Myka. Which now made Helena fear that he'd pull Myka into this game of his. And she was so not okay with that.
"The bloody fucking bastard," she cursed, gripping her locket tighter. And for once it wasn't helping calm her because she wasn't focused. So she just let go of her locket. "What can we do? We all ready know he'll have all his bases covered. And I'm not about to just sit here like a sacrificial lamb. I'm not dying again." Helena stated, looking at Myka.
