Well all right, that was not what she'd expected to hear. Though Prue probably should've asked what had been happening at home. It was strange, really, because Prue had so gotten used to being alone here. But the sisterly instincts weren't that rusty, so as soon as she heard that Leo was leaving her, Prue pulled Piper into a hug, gently stroking her hair.
"Oh honey, I'm so sorry," she murmured gently. She knew how much Leo meant to Piper. How could Leo just leave like that? to be an Elder? As if Piper didn't have enough issues with the Elders all ready for having taken Leo away from her for a while. But wasn't the fact that both Chris and Mel existed proof that things would work out? ...not that Prue should say that right now because Piper would just freak out over having two more children she didn't even know about here. "I wish I could tell I understood it, but maybe he had a plan, some reason for it that he couldn't tell you." And of course being the oldest sister and still having the slightly maternal defensive instinct, she wanted to make it all right for Piper again. She wanted her sister to be happy again, and she knew Leo made her happy.
