Why River was up and about this early in the morning, she couldn't say. Then again, she hadn't exactly had many restful nights since that little bout of being in the future for two weeks. While she wasn't one to let herself be pulled down by bad things, she couldn't help but feel her mood had darkened because of it. With the horrors she'd seen, how could she not have dampened spirits? But being the tough woman she was, she kept most of it to herself, not wanting to worry those around her. Of course she well knew Sexy could tell because the TARDIS Matrix knew everything, and she didn't exactly feel like talking about it to anyone else. Perhaps she should ask Rose for drinks sometime soon. River adored the other blonde companion. She was sad that she'd never be able to meet the woman properly in their own dimension, but at least she had the chance to get to know her here.
Instead of taking her breakfast in the TARDIS as she normally did, River had decided to go for a morning walk and get some coffee. Pulling on her jacket, the blonde made her way out of the TARDIS and headed off to her favorite coffee shop. While she had her coffee, she'd decide what to do with the rest of her day. She'd been contemplating taking off on one of her little adventures again. Perhaps Canada this time. She hadn't been to Canada yet. Or perhaps she'd pick somewhere else in the world. The Himalayas? China? It was hard to pick when there was so much to see. Even with her time travel in her own reality, there were plenty of places on Earth that she had yet to see, and if she didn't take that chance now, she wouldn't ever see any of it.
Turning a corner, River noticed a young man fishing through his pockets. It seemed that he'd just woken up himself, he had that look about him. At first she wasn't going to bother him, thinking he was just on his way to school or something. But then she noticed he'd come from a park and she arched an eyebrow slightly. All right, so instead she'd at least say something, and then go from there.
"Good morning," she said, offering a warm smile to him. She'd slowed in her pace, but if he didn't want to talk or something, she'd just move on. River didn't tend to pry when it came to strangers. Meddle? Depended on the situation.
