"No, not exactly." He shook his head. He wasn't sure she would be able to follow the usual 'Welcome to the Apocalypse' version of the explanation, so Angel was trying to reword things in his head as he went along. "There's a war going on here, it's...complicated, it's kind of religious in nature." She wouldn't even know about Christianity, so he didn't know how to go about explaining this war, exactly.

"There's a magical portal of sorts that brought you here, why, I can't exactly answer, but it has pulled people from several different worlds here to help in the war," he wondered if she was going to believe this.
