This was an exceptionally good duel. Mara was glad for it as it helped her keep her senses tapped and skills sharp. It was also refreshing to be in a duel where she didn't have to resort to using her assassin skills in order to win. No, this was simply a duel to test the skills Galen had with the Force and with the lightsaber. While she hadn't truly known what to expect, she was greatly pleased by what she was finding.
While she could pick out the various saber forms Galen used, it was obvious to her that Form V was his dominant one. Mara kept up with his attacks, for a time she allowed him to push her back, remaining on defense. She well knew the Form was geared to break down defenses and he did have power behind his attacks. But Mara waited. This was one of the skills she'd learned as an assassin that she stilled practied was to wait for the right moment to strike. She analyzed the way Galen attacked, then, suddenly, she switched from defense to offense. Galen was in mid-stride with only one foot of the ground when she switched, using the Force to augment her speed and strike back at him quickly. Now she was going to test his defenses.
