This was definitely going to be interesting. But Mara also knew it would be good for her. It was something to focus on, something to help keep her from thinking too much. It was definitely a welcome break from her inner monologue. Being around Jaina was comforting, but she had been able to sense a tension between Jaina and her siblings. At least with Galen there was no tension between them. Or at least she hoped there wouldn't be cause for tension to rise between them. As much as she'd hated Vader, she didn't let that stain her first impression of Galen. No, she was the type to give people the benefit of the doubt, and meet them first, have a conversation, before making a decision about them. This situation was no different.
After all, she herself had been raised and trained by Palpatine. And she'd realized that he'd also just been using her. She was supposed to be his instrument of revenge against Luke and Vader, but with Luke's help, she had managed to overcome that. All Palpatine had ever done was lie to her. But all of his teachings were still part of her. She'd left her assassin training far behind her, but there times when she needed to tap into those skills, such as when she'd fought with Jacen on Kavan.
"You have your robes?" Mara was impressed, and she suddenly felt naked without her own robes, but she didn't dwell on that so much. "If you want, you can wear your robes. I do not have mine, so do forgive me for not being properly attired as a Jedi would be." She was currently in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt Jaina had gotten for her. It drew less attention that the clothes she'd been wearing in their reality. And it allowed her to carry her lightsaber but keep it concealed from view. Really, the clothing on this planet was strange.
"Yes, this is fine. It should allow us to go undisrupted. I'd like to see how you move, so perhaps we shall start with a lightsaber duel?" It was a suggestion, but Mara was intrigued by just how Galen moved. She couldn't give him flying lessons or anything of that sort, and this was more an informal training so she didn't have to stick to rigid outline of training. Whatever he wanted to learn, she would teach. "And if there is anything in particular you are interested in learning about, by all means just ask. I have my hand in a lot of different areas, and not just within the Force."
