Ava stood there for a second or two looking utterly puzzled. She wrinkled her eyebrows trying to make sense of what Liz was saying. From what she knew, Liz was straight-laced, not likely to be under the influence of something that creates crazy ideas, but everything was still difficult to swallow.
"You think maybe the Granilith's responsible?" She walked with Liz, careful to keep her voice at a tone that any passerby wouldn't be able to hear. Having kept her origins secret for such a long time, Ava had become an expert of sorts at keeping things from people. It wasn't such a wild notion that the Granilith could have played a part in their arrival in a strange town years into the future. Antarian technology could do all sorts of things, things that the ordinary human being might not be able to grasp or even imagine.
"Thanks," Ava smiled, though the expression was weak due to worries taking over her train of thought. Liz was a nice person, time hadn't changed that fact. It was comforting in spite of everything on Ava's mind.
