WHO: Clark and Chloe. WHAT: They need to talk. WHEN: Late afternoon. WHERE: Chloe's apartment. RATING: PG-13. STATUS: In progress!
Clark was worried about Chloe. It went above and beyond the natural sense of concern that he had been carrying for the others who had been thrown into the city and it's chaos at random - Chloe was his best friend. She was more than able to adapt to crazy better than most people (she was, after all, the creator of the Wall of Weird), but something had felt sort of off with her ever since she'd arrived. Now that everyone appeared to be back from their childhood visits, Clark found that it was as good a time as any to look into whatever it was that might have been bothering Chloe. It came as both a relief and surprise when he found that it was she who decided to initiate something between them. A brief conversation had flowed over through the boards and, a few minutes later, Chloe had asked him to visit. Clark was already in the apartment complex himself, so he held no problems with the trip to her room. Even so, if he had been halfway across the world it wouldn't have been a problem. For one thing, he was fast enough to get there on foot without any trouble. And for another, this was Chloe. He'd do next to anything for her. Even run around the world and back if he had to.
Having reached her door, Clark raised a fist and knocked. He wasn't so used to living in an apartment area himself. Back home, it was just the farm. He and Chloe lived miles away from one another. Having her within walking distance (for a normal being, at least) was strange. Also a welcome thing, since that meant that he was able to keep an eye on Lois, Kara, Chloe, and even Andrea all at once. Who said that Clark couldn't find the good in all of the bad that they had to deal with here after all?
When the door swung open, Clark greeted Chloe with a soft smile. "You wanted to see me?"
