Actually, Chris would believe her if she brought up a visit from her child from the future. Because, in so many ways, Patrick Milligan was him. Gone to the past to visit his mom. She'd been much younger and, in his case at least, alive. Though Patrick hadn't done it intentionally. Chris hadn't found any other choice. It was the only way to defeat Wyatt.
"Wyatt...I mean, he's still my brother." Not 'our' brother. Not yet. He needed time for that to sink in. "But he's an ass. A complete ass. He's ruined so many lives. He let's people get hurt, he hurts them himself. I...I tried to stop him. I went back in time, to when Mom was alive, before they even had me." And there was Mel's clue to where it all had changed. To where this Chris ended and her Chris began.
Mel. Melinda, probably. His family had a thing about naming people after people. Wyatt was after their dad, obviously, and Chris was after his paternal grandfather. It only made sense that she'd be named after Aunt Prue and Melinda Warren.
Aunt Prue was there. And alive. And getting married like it was completely normal for dead people to wed. He'd always wanted to meet her, though. Wyatt wouldn't stand for the women of the Halliwell line to be brought in, even in spirit form. They were too powerful, especially when there were multiples of them. "I'll...check that out."
He liked the idea of a free place to live. He didn't like the idea of demon possessions, and not being able to properly vanquish one. That sounded like the opposite of a good time.
Still, he accepted her offered hand and let her help him to his feet. His shirt was still stained and red and gross, but his body looked as if he'd never been touched.
He accepted the hug, albeit a little reluctantly. How could he turn her away? She was obviously related, or just stalked the Halliwell family, either way. And the story she was telling sounded true enough, had true elements at the very least. "Yeah... That sounds good. We should definitely do that." Because, honestly, he didn't know what else to do.
