Who:Percy Jackson and OPEN
What:Arrival
When:Tonight
Where:kansassss
Warnings:TBA!

My dreams were restless. I heard Kronos taunting me from the depths of Tartarus. The titans cold laughter filled the darkness, then my dream changed. I was following Tyson my half Cyclops brother to the bottom of the sea into the Court of Poseidon. It was a beautiful hall filled with blue light and the floor cobbled with pearls. And there on a throne of coral sat my father the Sea God dressed like a simple fisherman in Khaki shorts and a t-shirt. I looked up at his worn and tan face, his brilliant green eyes stared into my own and he spoke two words "Brace yourself."

Percy woke with a start. Sunlight pouring into his cabin and kissing his face with a warm glow. Raising his hand to block it Percy sat up in bed, sheets falling away from him and pooling at his lap. His own bed at Camp Half-Blood. He never realized how much he missed it. Ever since he found out he was a demi god, his life had become a whirlwind. There were quests to be had and dangerous games of Capture the Flat to survive. For a minute Percy just reflected on everything that had happened in his last year and a half at camp. It was the first time since his arrival that he really had time to let everything sink in, and now all he could worry about was Poseidon's warning.

Brushing some of his dark messy hair from his face, he stood and pulled on his clothes. Thumbing in the pocket of his jeans he found riptide, his ball point pen that would at speechless command become a sword. It had been a gift from Chiron, the centaur activity director who saved his life from his evil monster math teacher. Yes it was true as cliche as it sounded because he was sure at every point in a kid's life they thought that their math teachers were evil. His actually had been. She had been a winged beast called a Fury. It was kind of amusing really now that he'd literally survived math class and thought about it.

Everything was finally starting to make sense. Like why his grades were so dismal, and why he could barely squeak by a year at a school without being thrown out. He wasn't human. He didn't belong in the moral world, his brain was hardwired for Ancient Greek, not English. The only way he survived English class was thanks to spell check and technology.

Camp Half-Blood had become much more then summer camp, it was home. He wasn't just that weird ADHD kid anymore that stood out to bullies, he was destined for something much bigger. No pressure right?

If only he'd known just what he was destined for, he might not have ever stepped out of his cabin and into Lawrence Kansas. He was dressed in his orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, jacket and pants with his backpack in hand ready for what was supposed to be a day of chariot racing to a small unfamiliar college town instead. His eyes full of confusion and curiosity, he walked onto the nearest crowded sidewalk. Was this what Poseidon had been warning him about?

Peter wanted to go home. He wanted his old life back. He wanted to go to school and swing through a city that he knew like the back of his own hand. He wanted to show his aunt that he was alive, that he was okay, that he wasn't in a coffin six feet under the ground in some cemetery.

But it didn't look like that was happening anytime soon.

His senses were constantly twitching here, like there was danger everywhere, around every corner, creeping in places that weren't supposed to be dangerous, waiting to come out and give him more trouble than he could realistically handle.

He wasn't ready to deal with this world's supernatural threats. Naturally, he wasn't going to shy away from them, wasn't going to keep his distance forever, but for now, he was not prepared and preferred not to cross that line. There were humans who he could deal with, criminals who were no different than the ones he was used to facing in New York City. Those criminals, predictable as always, almost made him feel at home. Not quite, but almost. Close enough that he could relax a little bit, and be confident in his abilities, in what he could do.

Spider-Man only came out at night because here, it was just easier that way. People were less likely to see him and question his sanity. At night, the potential hiding places were nearly limitless. The shadows concealed him well enough. Tonight wasn't any different. Except for the kid in the orange with the backpack. Who looked as out of place as he himself felt.

Leaning over the roof to get a better look, he waited until the others, the natives, hurried passed the kid, eager to get where they were going. When they did what he was waiting for them to do, he went over the edge and took a silent leap that landed him soundlessly next to the stranger in orange.

If anyone asked, he'd always been there.

Only not really.

"Isn't it a little late for a field trip?"

The last thing Percy had expected was company. No, actually the last thing Percy had expected was a guy in a leotard to melt out of the crowd. "Isn't it a little late for Halloween uh..Spiderman?" Rubbing his green eyes for a moment he blinked. Spiderman was still by his side. What next would Batman think he was an escaped prisoner in orange and try to arrest him? As if his life really needed to be weirder he was now talking to Spiderman. Or at least some guy who thought he was Spiderman.

"What happened to New York?" Who better to ask then Spider Pajamas if he really was legit. New York was supposed to be Spider's home turf. Percy had never been into comic books really, but he wasn't totally disconnected from pop culture. He saw the movies. "Please don't tell me your name is Tobey." He smirked as he folded his arms and looked him over. Maybe it was still a dream.

Most of his dreams were nightmares, and none of them involved Spiderman. If this was a dream, no way he was telling anyone. He'd get laughed out of camp. Mr.D already thought he was a trouble maker, he really didn't need to paint more of a target on his back for the Wine God. The entire Ares cabin already hated him as it was and probably planned all this as some kind of revenge prank against him for constantly one upping them and making an enemy out of their father Ares, the God of War.

Nobody seemed to pay much attention to the kid talking to Spiderman, almost as if it was normal. Which was freaky in it's own right. "What's going on?"

"Nope. It's never too late for Halloween." With that said, Spider-Man shrugged and smirked behind his mask. Walking alongside his newest acquaintance, he kept his eyes ahead of him and ignored the civilians, most of whom were also ignoring him in return. He was grateful for that and thanked god for small favors. They probably thought he was a nutcase, and nutcases were better off left alone.

They were nearly the same height, he and this kid whose name he didn't know yet. From the looks of him, they were likely around the same age too. He felt a little bad for him. Being sucked into the apocalypse was on his top five list of things nobody should ever experience. Especially normal people whose idea of weird was finding out that Oprah was about to end. Especially kids.

At the mention of New York, his shoulders perked up and he turned his head to look at Percy. "It's still here. Right where it should be." What he didn't mention, was that the New York in this world probably wasn't the same New York this kid was asking about. It wasn't his New York, anyway.

His expression was amused, covered up, hidden, but amused nonetheless. "It's Spider-Man, actually." He'd think he was crazy and yeah, maybe that was a little funny to Spider-Man.

"If I told you that you've just been pulled into the end of the world, what would you say?" His voice was serious then.

He was walking down the sidewalk with Spider-Man. Maybe he really was losing it and this was what going mad felt like. He really wasn't sure what to make of where he was or why he was there. He didn't understand where Camp Half-Blood went, or why he was no longer even anywhere near New york. "Are you here to give me Ruby Red slippers and tell me you're my Spider God Mother?" That was what happened in dreams right, they weren't supposed to come true or make sense for normal people. Percy was far from normal.

There was no way this could actually be real life though. People were ignoring the fact that he was standing beside a comic book character. Nobody was freaking out, or calling the police and deeming him a public menace, they just went about their normal lives. Too wrapped up in their own business to care about the kid with the super hero who wasn't supposed to exist much less talk to him and sympathize with him.

"Why aren't I in it? I didn't mean to come here. I'm supposed to be-" He paused, looking up suspiciously. Sure this was Spider-Man but it could also be some goon in a costume playing a trick. If he told him he was a Demi-God on a quest, how long before he was the one in Spider-Man costumes along with him.

"I'm supposed to be at camp." he said with a raised eyebrow. "I'd say that sounds about right." He ran his hand through his dark hair in frustration. "Maybe I really am crazy."
