Nine nodded some, smiling. "I had a feeling. And," his voice dropped a bit, "I know there's more to you than just being a mere human. But it's okay. I'm not exactly human either." He grinned and leaned back a bit more so the girl had some space. "And it does take time for it to sink in. But if you're use to weird it doesn't take too long to adjust."
He shrugged. "Information is good. Like bananas." He put an elbow on the table and clasped his hands together. "I keep forgetting my manners. I'm the Doctor. But as there are three of me here, call me Nine. Everyone here does who've been displaced."
