Who: Irene and Helena
What: Helena is visiting Irene. What specifically transpires is completely up to these two.
When: This afternoon
Where: Irene's house
Warnings: IDEK but to be safe, let's say NSFW because ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. And both can be naughty when they wish to.

While Helena had been distracted during the larger portion of the whole people from the future thing working on security and making Farnsworths like she never had before, she had made it a point to visit the future Irene on a couple occasions. It had been heartbreaking to see Irene in such a state, but it had also caused a deep seeded hatred to ignite itself in her heart. No one hurt those she cared about and got away with it. Nevermind that she hadn't known Irene very long. Helena liked her, and she didn't like seeing her hurt. It did worry her that Moriarty had attempted to skin the Irene from this time, but she was thankful the Seal had set things right before he'd gotten very far. Or at least that's what she hoped. But from the sound of it, he hadn't gotten that far.

After sending her last comment to Irene, Helena stood from her computer, which was getting slowly buried beneath papers that she kept pushing around, then went to freshen herself up. After all, she didn't want to present herself as having the cloistered mad inventor look that she'd adopted the past couple days. Sooner or later she would break down and try talking to Tony Stark about helping, but for now she was perfectly happy keeping herself busy. After changing clothes and brushing her hair, she grabbed her coat, Farnsworth, Tesla and an extra Farnsworth for Irene. She pulled her coat on and put the Tesla and her Farnsworth in one pocket she could easily access, then put Irene's Farnsworth in her other pocket, then headed out. She thought about telling Claudia she was going to get some air, but decided against it. If something happened that required her immediate attention, Claudia would just call her on the Farnsworth.

So Helena headed out and made her way over to Irene's house. It was going to be good to see the present Irene again. Glancing at the address she'd written on a piece of paper, she easily found the house. Looking up at it as she slid the paper into her pocket, Helena smiled, impressed. She walked up to the door and knocked, politely waiting for the gracious hostess to grant her entrance. As she waited, she brushed a hand through her hair, pulling it back from her face, leaving her neck and a good portion of her chest exposed, thanks to the fact she was wearing a button up blouse and the top three buttons were undone.

Irene noticed the appraisal. She couldn't not; her every sense was keyed in to how people viewed her, what people thought of her. And right now she knew that Ms Wells thoughts were favourable. A fact she approved of; apparently her few minutes of attention to her appearance were worth the exertion. She was matched beautifully in Helena though, that couldn't be denied. Her naked face and natural hair were everything that The Woman was not, in a way, and the pairing worked.

"It's wonderful to see you too, I must admit. You look dashing in that ensemble" she offered, following with a welcoming smile while looking up at Helena. She was a good three, maybe four inches shorter than her, barefoot as she was, which was disconcerting. Although not in a bad way, she was amused to realise.

Watching Ms Wells look around made her both proud and disappointed. She was right, the house was wonderful - which would make leaving it all the harder. But it had to be done, now that her and Moriarty were no longer on such amiable terms. Three weeks of being chased like a dog would do that to a relationship, even a working one. "You flatter me, Ms Wells, but I can't deny enjoying it" came her reply, with a wink and an equally sensual smile. At the proffering of the gift however her smile dimmed, and her eyes took on a more serious look. "You are too kind. The past few weeks...my future self...you seem to be the only person who truly cared, and now this" taking the Farnsworth and looking at it with no small amount of confusion "whatever this is? Genuinely, Helena - thank you." Pointing in a distracted manner to the living room she lead the way to the couch, still looking at the strange metal contraption.

Part of her was delighted at the attention she was receiving, but another part was frankly bewildered. All her running, during those three weeks, and it had never occured to her that someone would care, and now Ms Wells was clearly showing that she did. Even towards the version of her so mutilated, so far from what she held valuable that she couldn't bring herself to identify with her, Helena had shown compassion.

When Irene returned the compliment, Helena's smile widened, a sparkle in her eyes. She honestly could not remember the last time someone complimented her on her looks. Myka had given her compliments, but it was in the vein of her character and personality and not her outward appearance. It was refreshing to hear, and she was not the blushing type to receive such a compliment. Instead, she glowed under the praise.

"Thank you," she responded. The height difference between them was a fact that Helena found a slight sense of irony in. After all, Irene was the dominatrix, and yet she was a couple inches shorter than herself. But she would not point such things out, but instead she would let that play into their ever so apparent chemistry.

The woodwork was certain exquisite in the house. Helena had a passion for wood floors and woodwork in general. Being in the house, however, made her long for her own. She missed having her secret hiding places behind bookcases and in closets to store her inventions and things she needed for her job at the Warehouse. Perhaps at some point in the future she would look into such a thing, but for now she would be content on where she was. "Good because I am the type to flatter, and I do not like to stop once I start." She smirked a bit. Oh Helena was indeed a terrible flirt, but it had been something that had suited her, and it had done her good. Well, in most cases. There were the few times it had gotten her into trouble. When she offered the gift, she noticed the change in Irene's expression. No doubt the last three weeks had been incredibly hard on her. Reaching out, she set a comforting hand on Irene's shoulder, a warm, genuine smile on her face. "I do care, and when you need me, I will be there. Whether it is a present you, a future you or a past you. I don't leave those I care about alone when they need someone." Which was the truth, she was a creature of loyalty when she wasn't going insane. "You're welcome, Irene."

She followed Irene into the living room, setting her coat aside. She then turned her attention back to Irene, who was looking at the Farnsworth in confusion. Something she'd expected, so she'd come prepared to explain. She went over to the woman, stepping within her personal space and opened it for her, revealing a small television-like screen with a couple buttons. "It's called a Farnsworth. It's a communication device. It was the standard method of communication for Warehouse agents. They work no matter where you are in the world. Should you ever need help, or even just someone to talk to in the middle of the night, press this button" Helena pointed at the black button "and it will call me automatically. It is more reliable than a cell phone, and it is both audio and video communication." She also didn't want to take the chance that Moriarty would try to hurt Irene again and she would need immediate help without a way to call for it. But she would have that now.

Watching Helena's reactions made Irene more than a little smug, and she smiled in return. Clearly Ms Wells was not used to people appreciating her beauty, a fact Irene would take advantage of if she could. "You're more than welcome. What's the phrase? Ah yes - I call it like I see it."

Oh, but her smirk was just enticing. "I'm used to flattery from those under me, not those equal to me, so please, do continue. I may have to reciprocate." she finished, with a sparkle in her eyes. Calling it flattery when speaking of her clients was an understatement however really. It was worship and adoration from them, but as Helena clearly had little experience of that aspect of Irene's life she would leave it as described. For now, at least.

The hand on her shoulder, the touch of someone not intending to maim her, was more than comforting. It was something she hadn't realised she'd needed until it happened. For a split second, every so briefly, she rested her cheek against Helena's hand and closed her eyes. It was only for a moment yet it grounded her in a way she couldn't appreciate more. "It...that...thank you again. Not being in my own world, and having him after me, it...well, knowing that I have people who care means a lot." She wasn't sure if she meant the future she had been to, or the time she was in now, but either way having the fondness of Helena to balance her fear of Jim was balancing in a way she hadn't expected. The Woman was used to being detached, to being alone and aloof and above all others, but here and now? She needed a friend.

Regaining her composure when they entered the living room, she listened carefully as the Farnsworth was explained. "I see. A video phone that never loses coverage? I can understand the appeal." In more ways than one. If he ever tried to take her again she would have it, and many other delightful uses came to mind. Placing it on the coffee table for now, she heard the kettle click and looked to the kitchen. "Would you like a cup of tea?" The last person I offered tea to in my own home had been catered to Buckingham Palace, but somehow she imagined Helena would be more open to the concept. "And please, make yourself comfortable. The couch simply envelops you, it's amazingly cosy."

"A very wise woman. That is an excellent way to take things." It was something Helena herself also practiced when given the opportunity. And she would certainly take advantage of this situation.

"I will not argue with that. Reciprocation only heightens the experience, I feel." Helena chuckled. She did like that sparkle in Irene's eyes, it was beyond enticing. While Helena did not claim to be intimate with the details of a dominatrix, she did take some pride in Irene considering her an equal. Though she was horrendously curious as to what exactly transpired in a dominatrix's bedroom, Helena did think she should take things one step at a time. After all, it had been one hundred and twenty years since her last sexual experience, it would be more than a little jarring to suddenly find herself beneath Irene in such a manner.

Even as brief as the moment was, Helena caught it, the way Irene had rested her cheek against her hand. She had not anticipated a reaction to that degree, but she was pleased by it and that it did seem to help Irene ground herself. But Helena well knew the need for a friend, for someone to be there when things truly seemed bad. And she would do everything she could to reground Irene, help her move past the unpleasant future she had. True Helena herself was not a creature who took to moving on from trauma well, but she could be a friend and hope that her kindness and compassion would help. "You are welcome. I am happy to help in any way I can." And she meant it.

Helena was pleased with Irene's opinion of the Farnsworth. While the Victorian woman wasn't opposed to cell phones, she would rather carry a Farnsworth with her instead. If only because it was something familiar to her, a link to her own world that helped give her a little grounding in this world. Oh she was barely keeping herself above water, but being in Irene's company it was easy to keep the darker swarm of thoughts and emotions she didn't want to deal with at bay. At the question of tea, Helena smiled warmly. "I would love some tea, thank you." She was never one to turn down the offer of tea. At the invitation to make herself comfortable, she looked at the couch, the burgundy leather all ready being both enticing and inviting. "I must say, you do have exquisite taste." She looked at Irene, a little smirk on her face and a glint in her eyes as she took a seat on the couch, which certainly did envelop her. She ran her long fingers along the leather, finding it very soft to the touch. "Mm very stimulating." The adjective was carefully and purposefully chosen. She did like testing the waters, so to speak.
