"I healed you, didn't I?" She snapped back without a second's thought. An uncompelled Tony was not a very fun one, as far as Katherine was concerned. He had too much to say, bucked too much against her, and she had a feeling he hadn't even really started yet. "So you think they're right? You think that I'm everything they've painted me to be?" She didn't care that their words were true, she needed him to believe they weren't, that she wasn't what they made her out to be, but right now, convincing him of that was going to be a damn hard task to complete.
"I'll never understand how people can take what a few people say about a person at face value and never even question it." She commented into the small silence that had fallen into the room. "Mindless drones, following the leader," she was on her feet again, her head shaking slightly from side to side before her eyes locked on Tony for a brief moment. "It's pathetic. And you, with your job," she scoffed, "Oh, you take orders really well, don't you, Tony? Yes, sir, no questions asked, can't defy your superiors, have to take their word as truth, even when you think they're lying, even if you know they are. How do you live like that? Living to serve everyone but yourself. It's disgusting."
