Shaking her head to clear it, Rose made the rest of the way inside the room to stand at his side, smiling warmly. Standing on her toes, she pressed a light kiss to his lips. Something different in this control room. And nothing she minded. Oh, it'd been something she'd wanted to do, many times over. But he was always so reserved about what the two of them were becoming that she never had the nerve to. And then she'd lost her chance. Oh, all the hugs, the laughter, the hand holding, all of it had graced this room and it had been wonderful. But being able to kiss him here?
Perfect.
"You find out your kid's alive after thinking she's been dead for a year, you'll slap someone, too!" she teased, though the subject wasn't very funny considering his own history. A history she'd never know all of. But it was one she could start helping to heal. And maybe, in some ways, she already had. "Smart girl, your TARDIS." She knew that now more than ever. Talking to her in an almost human form solidified that fact for her. She thought the woman still liked her. And she knew her daughter did, which was nice. It meant she was around for her, even in that dark future that those girls and River all came from. It was something, at least.
